Tyax Lodge & Sky Camp
DAY ONE - We depart from Whistler at 10am to drive the scenic Duffey Lake Road to Lillooet. Here on the dry side of the Coast Mountains we turn west and head into the Chilcotins along Carpenter Lake Road, another very scenic route. Arriving at the luxury Tyax Wilderness Resort we can unpack and relax for the late afternoon and early evening before organising our packs. You might want to take a swim in the lake or paddle a canoe before dinner in this luxury wilderness lodge.
DAY TWO TO DAY FOUR - Guides from Tyax Adventures will fly you to Sky Camp, their remote luxury backcountry camp complete with sauna. Sky Camp is based at remote Crystal Lake which is exclusive to Tyax Adventures. While at the camp make use of the facilities such as canoes, kayaks or fishing equipment or maybe take a hike up nearby Mt McClure. Alternatively simply relax at the lakeside and enjoy the unparalleled peace and quiet.
DAY FIVE - Returning by floatplane to Tyax Resort in the late afternoon you will again have the use of their facilities for free.
DAY SIX - A full day at Tyax Resort allows you to take advantage of their facilities such as the spa or canoes. Or you may want to book a mountain biking or horse riding trip or even a scenic floatplane ride. Hiking is also available.
DAY SEVEN - Departing Tyax after a leisurely breakfast we head back to Whistler arriving in mid-afternoon.
