Due to a lower snow pack than usual and very warm May we are pleased to be offering Echo Lake earlier than anticipated, we will be running it for all of June at a reduced early season price.
Echo Lake is a true Squamish classic, extremely highly rated by those in the know. We think it's the best adventure in the area.
We transport you by small boat to the far side of the Squamish River where the trail takes us steeply upwards right next to a series of super scenic waterfalls. There is also a natural granite arch to see before we reach the top of the waterfall section where there are stunning views out over Squamish and towards the Chief and Shannon Falls. The trail then mellows as it reaches one of the most beautiful sections of rainforest in the area including some very impressively sized Douglas Firs, one of wihch may be eight feet in diameter. After a couple of kilometres in this valley we climb alongside a last set of cascades until we reach beautiful Echo Lake for great views in all directions including back down on to Squamish and the Squamish Valley. This is a must do adventure, suitable for those in reasonable shape and with reasonable levels of dexterity (please check the gallery to see the kind of terrain you will need to be able to negotiate, there are some rope/chain pulls and some small and infrequent areas of exposure).
If you're looking for something unique and different to do in the Squamish area make it this one and you won't be disappointed, usually only done by locals and difficult to access because of the need to cross the Squamish River you won't be disappointed.
